About Rebecca

I write children’s books rooted in wonder, imagination, and the quiet beauty of everyday life. Inspired by nature and childhood curiosity, I invite young readers into a gentle community of adventures filled with heart and hope.

Books can shape a child’s sense of kindness, courage, and possibility. Through relatable characters and heartfelt stories, I hope to create worlds that children feel safe exploring again and again.

My book Your Heart Can Hold the Whole Universe is an Independent Press Award winner. The Prairies Book Review called it “inspiring, gentle, and celebratory; a remarkable feat…a must-read that will teach kids the heart’s boundless capacity for love.”

My latest project, George the Mouse in a Log Pile House, is a collaborative effort with illustrator Alissa Hansen and wildlife photographer Simon Dell, whose real-life mouse village in Sheffield, England delights the world.

Surrounded by books, ideas, and the delight that comes from seeing the world through a child’s eyes, there are always new stories waiting to find their way from pen to page.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me reading or camping with my youngest son, and traveling with my family in search of new places, new landscapes, and fresh inspiration.
